It just makes sense.
My father was a printer and my grandfather too. I grew up familiar with the smell of printing ink.
The company my dad worked for (a family business for many years) was bought over by a big corporation. All of the profitable bits were kept and those which didn’t make money were stripped of their assets and sold off. Production was outsourced to eastern Europe and Asia and he lost his job.
I could have my cards printed elsewhere and I’d probably save some money.
I might choose to pass these savings on to my customers.
But I don't think there'd be much point if my fellow countrymen ended up out of work and their skills were lost. I also like to know that my suppliers take their environmental responsibilities seriously and treat their workers fairly. BACK
